Run a Scottish Premiership prediction league

The Scottish Premiership is the first competition in this hub to begin. Set up now, then use one consistent process for weekly picks, European postponements and the post-split rounds.

Opening round

Season format

12 clubs · 38 match rounds

Official timing

The SPFL says the opening round runs from Friday 31 July to Monday 3 August 2026. Some early fixtures involving clubs in European competition may need to move.

Start now, then stay flexible

The first round spans four days, so use the earliest included kickoff as the deadline. Check the official list before opening every gameweek because broadcast choices and European commitments can alter the original pattern.

Plan for the split

After the first phase, the 12-club division separates into top and bottom groups. Do not guess the later fixtures before the split is confirmed. The ScoreSocial season table can continue normally because only the source fixture schedule changes.

Use a compact weekly routine

Six matches in a standard round make a manageable prediction card for friends, supporters, workplaces and pubs. A short reminder only needs the first kickoff, the deadline and the entry link; weekly and season standings do the rest.

Protect trust when matches move

Record corrections openly, never accept a prediction after its relevant kickoff and apply the published postponement rule without considering who gains. ScoreSocial is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the SPFL.
