Global League Gameweek 6 is complete: all 20 matches from 26–27 September 2026 have settled. The predictions frozen on 21 September returned four exact scores (20%) and nine correct home/draw/away outcomes (45%), including those four exact scores. Eleven picks missed the result direction.

The table below records every final score alongside the original forecast. The pre-match analysis is retained beneath it for accountability; none of the predictions or their methodology labels has been changed after kickoff.

The card is built for the international break rather than forcing inactive top-flight rounds into the schedule. Eight UEFA Nations League ties sit alongside four League One matches, three League Two matches, two Scottish Challenge Cup fixtures and three MLS games. Every selected match has a verified API-Football fixture ID and kickoff time in the live ScoreSocial gameweek. LaLiga2 is not included.

The official UEFA fixture list confirms the eight international matches and places the first two league-phase matchdays across 24–29 September. The official MLS season announcement confirms the active 2026 calendar, while the club schedule pages verify the selected Saturday-night pairings. Use the Global League guide for the format and the prediction results archive for the frozen public record.

Bristol Rovers, Netherlands, Denmark and Portugal supplied the four exact scores. The largest lesson is the gap between result direction and score precision: five further picks identified the outcome without matching the score. Plymouth, Germany and LAFC all lost despite receiving pre-match win selections, so these 20 matches do not justify stronger confidence in the manual method.

Original pre-match analysis

The following analysis was published before kickoff on 21 September 2026.

Why these leagues have fixtures this weekend

The Premier League and several other major European divisions pause for the extended international window. UEFA scheduled Nations League Matchday 1 for 24–26 September and Matchday 2 for 27–29 September, creating a strong international core for this card. The official UEFA preview describes England v Spain as a rematch of the UEFA EURO 2024 final and notes that Scotland and Switzerland are beginning their attempts to return to League A.

The English lower divisions continue during the window. The EFL League One competition page provides the live fixture and table context used for the four League One selections, while the League Two group supplies three further Saturday matches. In Scotland, the official KDM Evolution Trophy fixture list confirms the cup programme involving Kelty Hearts, Montrose, Queen of the South and Rangers U21.

MLS also remains active. Philadelphia's official 2026 schedule lists Orlando City on 26 September, FC Dallas lists its home match with LAFC, and Minnesota's published schedule lists the trip to Seattle. Those three fixtures extend the card into Sunday morning in the UK without using unverified or invented matches.

Evidence and prediction method

This is an editorial-manual-v1 round because the evidence is not uniform across all five competition groups. Nine British fixtures have current ScoreSocial standings and form snapshots. Five of those also returned the read-only API-Football prediction evidence needed for a blended score recommendation. The international and MLS fixtures are fully provider-linked for identity and kickoff, but the current model cannot map them to domestic standings; their exact scores are therefore lower-confidence editorial opinions informed by official competition context.

No missing provider probability has been replaced with a made-up percentage. A manual score is labelled as such, and close model calls remain close in the published explanation. The score forecast is an opinion for transparency, not a guarantee or betting recommendation.

Domestic and Scottish fixture outlook

Plymouth and Stockport have the clearest home cases in the model-backed group. Plymouth lead Burton 51% to 17% in the reviewed result distribution, while Stockport lead Peterborough 59% to 12%; both settle on 2-1 rather than a wider margin. Bristol Rovers also receive a 51% home view, but a lower goal expectation produces 1-0.

Wycombe v Reading points the other way: Reading lead 39% to 27%, with the draw still substantial at 34%, so 1-2 is a deliberately cautious away prediction. Rotherham v Crewe is closer again at 39% home, 36% draw and 25% away; the 1-0 score should be read as a narrow lean. Cambridge, York, Kelty Hearts and Queen of the South have useful local form snapshots but no complete provider prediction response, so their scores remain manual and low confidence.

International and MLS outlook

England v Spain is the headline fixture. Spain's recent major-tournament record and England's home setting pull in opposite directions, making 1-1 more defensible than a strong win call. Scotland's opening trip to Slovenia is also treated as a draw. Switzerland, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and Portugal receive the clearer directional picks, but none carries a published numerical model probability for this round.

The MLS selections favour Philadelphia and Seattle at home and LAFC away at Dallas. They are practical editorial calls based on the verified schedule and broad team context, with lower confidence than Plymouth, Stockport or Bristol Rovers. Readers should check the live card for late provider changes before the deadline.

ScoreSocial fixture predictions

Jim reviewed and froze the following scores on 21 September 2026. “Model-backed” means the read-only domestic model returned a complete recommendation; “local snapshot” means current standings and form were available without a complete provider prediction; “manual” means verified fixture data and official competition context were reviewed without a comparable model probability.

What players should check before entering

The in-app deadline is authoritative. MLS times cross midnight in the UK, and international schedules are published in Central European time, so the ScoreSocial card displays the localised kickoff sequence used for entry locking. A postponement or provider correction can still change a fixture's status; it does not justify rewriting a frozen editorial prediction after kickoff.

The mix is intentional: it keeps the Global League active during an international weekend while retaining a meaningful domestic and MLS spread. Players who prefer a single competition can create a private league, while this open card provides one varied 20-match challenge.
