Is golf part of the weekly league?

Golf is a separate ScoreSocial event. Create your group with Football, NFL or NHL as its primary sport, then use the event menu to prepare a golf tournament on an eligible plan. Golf entries, draws and the event leaderboard are separate from weekly gameweek predictions and their season points.

Free and Starter do not include side events. Pro and higher tiers have active-event allowances shown on the pricing page. Multi-sport gameweek access and active-event capacity are separate limits; check both before planning several activities for the group.

How do you select the right tournament?

Choose the tournament and verify its name and dates before loading the field. Review the list of golfers before creating a draw or opening entries. A successful data request is not enough: the field must belong to the intended tournament. If the field is missing or appears to belong to a different event, stop setup and use support to report the tournament name and dates.

Do not substitute a different tournament merely because it returns a populated list. Avoid announcing a complete field before you have reviewed what the event will actually use.

What should your group know before entering?

State the tournament, the event deadline, how entries or assignments work and how the event winner will be decided using the configured format. Tell participants where they can see their event entry and the leaderboard. Keep the invitation specific to this tournament so members do not mistake it for an NFL, NHL or Football prediction round.

Review names and any participant information shared in screenshots. Private group activity should only become public promotional material with the affected people’s permission.

How should you handle changes?

Tournament fields and results can change. Review the recorded event data and the supported organiser controls before announcing final standings. If a golfer withdraws or a result needs correction, follow the event’s agreed rules and explain the action to participants. Do not promise automatic replacement or a particular tie-break rule unless it is supported by the configured event.

What happens at the end?

Check the final event leaderboard against the verified tournament results and resolve outstanding questions before announcing winners. The weekly league and its season table continue separately. For an overview of the event workflow, see golf events; for the three primary league sports, see supported sports.

Sources and product review

Dean Reid reviewed the separate-event, entry and leaderboard workflow against the released ScoreSocial product. Organisers should use the selected tournament’s official site for field and result changes; general rules-of-play questions belong with The R&A’s official Rules of Golf. ScoreSocial is not affiliated with or endorsed by The R&A or any tournament organiser.
